Sabirabad District History and Ethnography Museum — a modern museum reflecting the rich cultural and historical heritage of Azerbaijan. The museum is home to unique exhibits that showcase the history and culture of Sabirabad district. There is a dedicated section honoring the life and work of Azerbaijan’s satirical poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir, photographic displays from the First and Second Karabakh wars, and archaeological finds and ethnographic samples dating back to the ancient times of Sabirabad.

ABOUT PROJECT
The Sabirabad District History and Ethnography Museum was founded in 1986 and has since undergone extensive renovations, incorporating modern design elements. The museum showcases the rich history and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, with particular focus on the life and work of Mirza Alakbar Sabir, the Karabakh wars, and the ancient history of Sabirabad. The museum features a protocol hall equipped with the latest interactive technology, memorial sections dedicated to significant personalities, and rooms displaying archaeological findings and ethnographic artifacts. The transitions between the halls stand out with their unique interior designs, offering visitors a blend of historical, cultural, and modern styles. The museum serves as an excellent place to explore the history of Sabirabad, Azerbaijani folk art, and notable historical figures.
